Welcome to our next international eDNA and other molecular monitoring methods -workshop on Friday 28th January 2022 at 2–4 pm (UTC +2). Workshop is free, open for everyone and will be held online.
We will hear an interesting keynote “New tools, new challenges – how can we improve knowledge transfer” from Prof. Gernot Segelbacher. He is Professor of Conservation Genetics at the Chair of Wildlife Ecology and Management at the University of Freiburg. He is also co-Chair of the IUCN Conservation Genetics Specialist Group (CGSG) and member of the technical subgroup of the IUCN Task Force on Synthetic Biology and Biodiversity Conservation.
The main focus of the workshop is on interactive discussion and it is facilitated by Innotiimi-ICG. We will discuss international coordination and collaboration in the implementation of molecular monitoring methods. The workshop is organized by the Finnish Environment Institute (SYKE)’s projects A pilot for implementing environmental DNA (eDNA) based methods into environmental and biomonitoring “eDNA pilot” and Finnish Ecosystem Observatory “FEO”.
